Location: Berkshire
Current occupation: University Student and Youth Worker
How did you get into boating?
I started volunteering at my local youth club when I was 14 after being a member and it was a trip that the you club ran in partnership with Ocean Youth Trust that sparked my love for sailing. Before this I had taken part in Watersports such as surfing and SUPing.
Tell us about your boating achievements
I am now a youth mentor for Tall Ships Youth Trust and frequently sail with Morning Star Trust.
What have you been up to recently?
I take part in Watersports as often as I can. Now I’m at uni it’s a lot harder to find the time to get out on the water but I still get out roughly once or twice a month and I’m always aiming for more! If I had to pick a favourite it’s got to be sailing with SUPing as a close second! Although I do love a good surf and wakeboard session.
Why did you sign up to become a boatgen ambassador?
I strongly believe that no young person should miss out on the opportunity to experience Watersports regardless of their background, family income or location.
