Stuart Jones

Marina Manager

Stuart has a wealth of experience from a military and civil engineering background.  He managed the Barrage when it first opened and has been managing Penarth Marina for 15 years.  He has volunteered with the RNLI for over 20 years.

Hugh Kelsall

Assistant Manager

Coming from a hospitality management background Hugh jumped on aboard 11 years ago with strong customer service skills and lots of nautical experience growing up boating in Falmouth and now a helm on Penarth Lifeboats.

Sharron Page

Lock Keeper & General Administrator

Sharron has relocated from Shropshire after running a sucessful hair salon with a desire to learn to sail and be near the water. Sharron and her partner are enjoing learning to sail  and spending time afloat.

Mark Lowen

Berthing Master

Mark joined the crew 16 years ago coming from a military background. He has plenty of experience knowledge to share. Mark enjoys getting float when he can to do a bit of fishing.

Jake Davies

Berthing Master

Jake joined the crew in 2022 coming from a military background. He left a career in customer service to learn to sail with a trainee scheme at Cardiff yachting. After building knowledge and experience Jake joined the team part time and has since moved to a full time role.

Bob Lawrence

Berthing Master

Bob has an IT background. He lives on a barge and enjoys being around  the water. With a commercially endorsed powerboat certificate  and celestial navigator he also recently qualified as an RYA cruising instructor.

During his spare time Bob is a radio amateur  and operates high speed morse code on the HF bands, enjoys cooking curries, baking and knitting his own socks!

Jamie Morgans

Berthing Master

 Jamie is from a leisure and customer service background joining the Marina team in July 2019.   He enjoys cooking and experimenting with his home brewing and recently walking the family's golden retriever    Like other Marina staff Jamie was a member of Penarth Lifeboat crew for twenty years

Andrew Robertson

Penarth Boatcare Manager

Andrew has spent a lifetime on the water, all around the world on a variety of vessels, holding positions from the New Zealand Navy to building the confidence of youth through sail training on the water

With his enormous maritime knowledge, attention to detail and calm, friendly demeanour, Andrew is perfectly placed to help our customers. Super-efficient Andrew handles the lift diary and keeps us all abreast of what boat repairs we should be working on next – so if you need to squeeze in a quick lift, he’s the man to talk to!


When not at work, Andrew can be found watching the rugby (anyone see the England/NZ game!) and…well… afloat!

Andy Freemantle

Rigging Specialist

Andy has been the go-to rigger in the Greater Cardiff area for many years. Prior to joining the boatcare team in Penarth, he ran his own rigging shop here in Penarth . Andy is a keen sailor and local rugby supporter.

Marc Pincemy

Boatcare Specialist - GRP,

Marco hails from France, mastering his GRP and boat building skills at the Beneteau factory. After following his now wife to Cardiff, Marco worked for Cardiff Maine Group before coming over the our boatcare team. In his spare time, Marco like to draw and paint.
