Portland Week 2024 - EPropulsion Boat Handling Time Trial

Reckon you're a whizz at handling a small boat? Come and have a go at our boat handling course and give an electric outboard a go at the same time. Using our F-RIB 'Sea Rex' (on loan from Clean Jurassic Coast) fitted with an e-propulsion outboard, you'll navigate our short course in as quick a time as possible whilst remaining in full control at all times. Penalties will be accrued for bad boat handling practices such as ramming the dock when coming alongside! 

You'll be accompanied by a member of boatfolk staff in the boat. Your family and friends can cheer you on from the pontoon. A lifejacket (provided) must be worn whilst taking part. Complete the course as many times as you wish in your ten minute slot and post the fastest time from your attempts on the leader board.

Over 16's only. You don't need to have any qualifications or boating experience.
