Portland Week 2024 - #Boatgen Keelboat sail taster with Andrew Simpson Centres

Want to have a go at sailing? Jump in a keelboat with Andrew Simpson Centres, Portland and give it a whirl! The keelboats take an instructor and up to five children so you can sail with all your friends and have the instructor right there, perfect if you're a little nervous about getting afloat, but really want to try it! This 1.5 hour session gives you a chance to dip your toes in and see if you enjoy sailing and even have a go at steering the boat and trimming the sails!

For ages 8 - 18 years

Andrew Simpson Centres instructors are fully qualified RYA dinghy instructors. All safety equipment such as wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmets are provided. Whilst parents don't have to stay on-site during the activity, we recommend they do in case their child(ren) want to come ashore early. The marina washrooms are available for a warm shower to rinse off afterwards in case you go for a dip.
