Portland Week 2024 - #Boatgen Zest sail taster with Andrew Simpson Centres

Want to have a go at sailing? Jump in a RS Zest dinghy with Andrew Simpson Centres, Portland and give it a whirl! Each dinghy takes 2-3 people so you can have a go with a friend or sibling! This 1.5 hour session gives you a chance to dip your toes in and see if you enjoy sailing, learning the basics from steering the boat to trimming the sails.

For ages 8 - 18 years

Andrew Simpson Centres instructors are fully qualified RYA dinghy instructors. All safety equipment such as wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmets are provided. Whilst parents don't have to stay on-site during the activity, we recommend they do in case their child(ren) want to come ashore early. The marina washrooms are available for a warm shower to rinse off afterwards in case you go for a dip.
