Portland Week 2024 - The boatfolk Big Weekend floating festival - Live music on the Boon Boat Stage

The floating festival is back for 2024 and we're going afloat! Take to the sea or watch from the shore, the choice is yours...

Kicking off the boatfolk Big Weekend off on the Boon Boat stage at 6pm on the Friday evening is Portland Marina favourite Finnian McGurk, followed by folk duo Hamish and Emily with The Voice 2018 finalist Lloren in the headliner slot. It promises to be an amazing start to the weekend!

Join us again on Saturday afternoon as we launch the Salt Balcony stage with Jaunty, followed by festival ceildhi band Monkey See, Monkey Do and Bristolian folk-rock stompers The Jamestown Brothers and round it all off with the renowned U2 tribute band, U2Baby. In between sets we'll keep you entertained with mermaids, pirates and the boatfolk Big Weekend Experiences auction hosted by the legendary Lester Williams. Memories are the best mementos so dig deep folks, because there's some fabulous experiences up for grabs for you to share with your nearest and dearest!

The best way to get involved is from the water (it's a floating festival after all!) and if you don't have your own paddleboard, dinghy or kayak, then speak to our friends at Adventure 4 All to organise paddle board or kayak hire - www.adventure4all.co.uk. If you'd rather stay on dry land, there's also a shoreside viewing area, simply choose which one you'd like to book for at checkout.

For those going afloat, a lifejacket/buoyancy aid is compulsory for under 18's and strongly recommended for everyone else. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times in both the afloat and ashore viewing areas. Full T's and C's and safety guidelines will be emailed to you prior to the festival.
