Portland Week 2024 -Percy the Pleiosaur with Oly Rush

Percy is a Pleiosaur, but he's no ordinary dinosaur. He was created by sculptor Glenn Martin, from Ghost of the Sea on the Isle of Wight, is made from 600 plastic bottles and other rubbish collected from beaches and is 15ft-long and weighs 80kg. Oly Rush of Project Planet towed Percy between Bournemouth's two piers in 2023's Trash Tow event and no hes coming to Portland Week!

Percy will be bobbing about in our floating festival area during the day and making a guest appearance at our Pirates vs Mermaids floating panto, we wonder whether he'll be #TeamPirate or #TeamMermaid 🤔
