Portland Week 2024 - The boatfolk Big Weekend Portland Paddle Parade

Parading Portland style! Join the Portland paddle parade around the marina, fancy dress optional, but strongly encouraged! Choose to join Team Pirate, Team Mermaid, come as a sea creaturer or just as yourself... Paddle your dinghy, kayak or SUP.

There's no need to book, but you'll need to pre-register at the event marquee before hitting the water. 

Children must be accompanied by an adult on the water and the wearing of buoyancy aids/lifejackets is compulsory fior under 18's, although we strongly recommend everyone wears one. Please wear footwear on the pontoons, preferably closed toe. We suggest you bring a change of clothing and a towel in case you take a dip or are splashed by another participant! The marina washrooms will be available for anyone needing a warm shower/rinse off afterwards.

SUP's & kayaks - you must be a competent paddler and able to swim 50m in light clothing.

Dinghies - you must be a competent rower and water confident.
