Portland's New Laundry

Step 1 - Load your chosen machine. For dryers skip to step 4. Please only load the machines to two thirds full to avoid overloading them. They are not suitable for heavy, large or uneven items.

Step 2 - Add detergent and softener (if using) either in the tray (softener - back left, laundry liquid - front right, pre-wash - back right) or directly into the machine depending on your chosen detergent.

Step 3 - Choose your cycle from the temperature options on the machine.

Step 4 - At the payment machine choose your machine (Washer 1, washer 2, dryer 1 or dryer 2 - the grid is set out in the same positions as the machines are), then choose your payment (using the same grid system - wash is £5 and dry is £4.50).

Step 5 - Make payment when directed using a contactless method payment (card, phone, watch).

Step 6 - Press start on your machine.
